Quizabria
Grass weeds out, broadleaf crop untouched.

Esta página aún no está disponible en español. Se muestra la versión en inglés.
Quizabria is a selective post-emergence herbicide that removes grass weeds from broadleaf crops without harming them. Because it targets an enzyme form that only grasses possess, sugar beet, cotton, soybean, sunflower, onion, tomato, field pea and vineyard tolerate it fully — while bermudagrass, johnsongrass, barnyard grass, wild oat and blackgrass stop growing and die. It handles both annual and perennial grasses; the perennials simply need the higher rate.
Características
- Fully selective in broadleaf crops — no crop injury at label rates
- Controls both annual and perennial grasses, including bermudagrass and johnsongrass
- Registered across eight crops, from sugar beet to vineyard
- Low rates: 75-100 ml/ha
- Tank-mixable with common sugar beet broadleaf herbicides
- HRAC Group A/1 — the grass-specific mode of action
Cómo actúa
Quizalofop-P-ethyl inhibits acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACCase) in grasses, halting fatty-acid and membrane synthesis at the growing point. The meristem rots, young leaves yellow and pull out easily, and the plant dies over one to three weeks. Broadleaf species carry a different ACCase form and are not affected. HRAC Group A / Group 1. PHYTOTOXIC TO CEREALS — never apply to wheat, barley or other cereal crops.

Doses are indicative. The user is responsible for adjusting the dose to the growth stage of the crop and the conditions of the field. Apply under the guidance of an agricultural technician. Composition, method of application and dose may vary between countries for climatic, technical or legal reasons.
Aplicación
Modo de empleo
Spray onto grasses in the 3-6 leaf stage of rapid growth — for bermudagrass, when the weed has reached 30 cm. Ensure good coverage. Avoid application under slow-growth conditions such as drought or low temperature, when uptake and translocation are poor. Use 20-30 litres of water per hectare with a fan nozzle.
Compatibilidad
Can be mixed with sugar beet broadleaf herbicides such as phenmedipham, clopyralid and chloridazon. Do not mix with alkaline products. Conduct a mixing test first. Use clean water. Avoid contact with seeds.
Realice siempre una prueba de compatibilidad antes de preparar una mezcla en tanque.
Seguridad y manipulación
Flammable liquid and vapour. Harmful in contact with skin and if inhaled; causes skin irritation. Toxic to fish and bees — do not apply during flowering, do not contaminate groundwater or surface water. PHYTOTOXIC TO CEREALS. Do not re-enter the treated area for 1 day.
Read the label before use. Do not use at home. Keep away from children, food and animal feed. Use only as recommended and at the recommended dose.
