Imazalbria

Imazabria-F is a systemic fungicide based on imazalil, used above all after harvest rather than in the field. Applied to citrus in the packhouse it controls the green and blue Penicillium moulds that turn a container of sound fruit into a write-off in transit. It is also used on stored potatoes against silver scurf and dry rot. Post-harvest is where a fungicide pays for itself most directly: the fruit already carries every cost the season put into it.

Cómo actúa

Imazalil inhibits C14-demethylase and blocks ergosterol synthesis, so the fungal membrane cannot form correctly and hyphal growth stops. Applied post-harvest it protects the fruit through storage and transit — the stage at which Penicillium moulds do their damage. FRAC Group 3.
