Cyperbria

High-load pyrethroid for broad, economical knockdown.

Cypermethrin 250 g/l
Cyperbria — EC - Emulsifiable Concentrate — Sembria

Cyperbria is a pyrethroid insecticide based on cypermethrin at 250 g/l — a high loading that keeps the cost per hectare low across large field areas. It acts by contact and ingestion with rapid knockdown, and covers the standard chewing and sucking pest complex of field and orchard crops. It is the volume pyrethroid of the range, where Lambdabria is the residual one and Deltabria the low-rate specialist.

Characteristics

  • High 250 g/l loading — low cost per treated hectare
  • Rapid knockdown by contact and ingestion
  • Broad spectrum across chewing and sucking pests
  • Well understood and widely trusted by growers
  • IRAC Group 3A
  • Suited to large field areas and standard spraying equipment

How it works

Cypermethrin holds open the voltage-gated sodium channels of the insect nerve axon, producing repetitive firing, paralysis and death. Activity is highest at lower temperatures. Because the whole pyrethroid class shares this target, rotate with a different IRAC group rather than between pyrethroids. IRAC Group 3A.
