Zirabria

Dormant-season protection against leaf curl and shot hole.

Ziram 76% w/w
Zirabria — WG - Water Dispersible Granule — Sembria

Zirabria is a protective dithiocarbamate fungicide based on ziram, formulated as a water-dispersible granule. It is a specialist product with a narrow, well-defined job: protecting peach against leaf curl and apricot against shot hole, applied in the dormant window when those infections actually take hold. Like all multi-site protectants it carries no resistance risk, and it makes a useful rotation partner for the single-site fungicides used later in the season.

Characteristics

  • Multi-site protective action — no practical resistance risk
  • The specialist choice for peach leaf curl and apricot shot hole
  • Water-dispersible granule — low dust, easy and accurate measuring
  • Fits the dormant and pre-bud-swell window when these diseases are controlled
  • Valuable rotation partner for single-site fungicides
  • FRAC Group M3

How it works

Ziram is a multi-site inhibitor: it chelates metal ions in fungal enzymes and reacts with sulphydryl groups, shutting down several enzyme systems at once and preventing spore germination on the plant surface. The product is protective only and is not absorbed by the plant. FRAC Group M3.

Composition, method of application and dose may vary between countries for climatic, technical or legal reasons.

Application

How to apply

Peach leaf curl: first application after 80% of leaves have fallen in autumn; second before the buds start to swell in spring. Apricot shot hole: first immediately after leaf fall in autumn; second before the flower buds open, at the pre-pink bud stage in spring; third when the calyx leaf and stamens are shed from the fruit tip. Note the 56-day pre-harvest interval on apricot — this product belongs in the dormant programme, not in-season.

Compatibility
