Manzebria+
The downy mildew standard — systemic core, multi-site shell.

Manmetbria combines mancozeb with metalaxyl, and it remains the reference treatment for downy mildew in vine, potato and tomato. The design is deliberate: metalaxyl is systemic and moves inside the plant to stop established infection, while mancozeb is a multi-site protectant that shields the surface and — just as importantly — protects metalaxyl from resistance, which develops fast when it is used alone.
Characteristics
- The standard treatment for downy mildew and late blight
- Metalaxyl works systemically inside the plant
- Mancozeb protects the surface and guards metalaxyl against resistance
- Covers vine, potato and tomato
- Mancozeb also supplies manganese and zinc as a side benefit
- FRAC Groups M3 and 4
How it works
Metalaxyl inhibits ribosomal RNA synthesis in oomycetes, stopping the water moulds that cause downy mildew and late blight. Mancozeb is a multi-site dithiocarbamate that inactivates several fungal enzyme systems at the surface. The multi-site partner is not optional — metalaxyl used alone loses effectiveness within a few seasons.
