Bupirbria
A powdery mildew specialist with vapour action and a clean record on beneficials.

Bupirbria is a systemic fungicide based on bupirimate, developed specifically against powdery mildew. Two things make it useful in a programme: it acts partly in vapour phase, so it reaches mildew on leaf undersides and in the shaded interior of a canopy that no spray reaches, and it is notably gentle on predatory mites and other beneficials — which matters in apple and protected crops where an acarine balance is being maintained.
Characteristics
- Specialist powdery mildew activity in apple, vine, rose and cucurbits
- Vapour-phase action reaches shaded and unwetted canopy
- Systemic with curative as well as protective effect
- Gentle on predatory mites and beneficial insects — suits IPM
- FRAC Group 8 — a distinct target from the triazoles and strobilurins in the range
- Long-standing, well-understood chemistry
How it works
Bupirimate inhibits adenosine deaminase in the fungus, disrupting nucleic-acid metabolism — a target unrelated to the sterol synthesis the triazoles block or the respiration the strobilurins block, which is why it rotates cleanly against both. FRAC Group 8.

Doses are indicative. The user is responsible for adjusting the dose to the growth stage of the crop and the conditions of the field. Apply under the guidance of an agricultural technician.
