Thiabria
Neonicotinoid performance in an oil dispersion that sticks and penetrates.

Thiabria is a neonicotinoid insecticide based on thiacloprid, formulated as an oil dispersion so it wets and penetrates waxy leaf surfaces better than a conventional suspension. It covers the aphid, psyllid and moth complex of pome fruit, cherry, pistachio and pomegranate, and it is one of the few neonicotinoids with real activity against codling moth and cherry fruit fly as well as sucking pests.
Characteristics
- Oil dispersion improves wetting and uptake on waxy leaves
- Covers both sucking pests and key moth and fly pests
- Strong on apple green aphid, codling moth and cherry fruit fly
- Also registered on pistachio psyllid and flatheaded borer
- Systemic and translaminar movement
- IRAC Group 4A
How it works
Thiacloprid binds the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor of the insect central nervous system and holds it open, causing uncontrolled nerve firing and death. Selectivity toward mammals is high because the vertebrate receptor differs structurally. IRAC Group 4A.
